Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Shukraya Technologies LLC, a New York limited liability company (“Shukraya”, “we”, “us”, “our”), governing your use of Shukraya at shukraya.com and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.
• The Service is currently an invite-only alpha. Access requires a valid invitation and may be limited, changed, or withdrawn.
• You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

2. The Service

Shukraya provides tools to compute, display, and save astrological charts and related information based on the birth details and settings you enter. Because Shukraya is in active development (alpha / beta), features may change, break, or be removed, and the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

3. Your content

• You may enter information, including birth details, for yourself and for other people (“Your Content”). You represent that you have the necessary rights and, where applicable, the consent of those individuals to enter and process their information through the Service.
• You retain your rights in Your Content. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
• You are responsible for Your Content and for using it lawfully.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully or in violation of others’ rights, including privacy rights;
• upload other people’s personal data without a lawful basis or their consent;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
• resell or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted;
• misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, calculations, and the Shukraya name and logo, is owned by Shukraya Technologies LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal or professional astrological work, subject to these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

6. Third-party tools and acknowledgments

Shukraya may reference or acknowledge third-party works and software, for example Jagannatha Hora by Prof. P.V.R. Narasimha Rao. Such references are for acknowledgment only and do not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship from those authors or their works.

7. Astrological information: no professional advice

Shukraya provides astrological information for educational, cultural, and personal-interest purposes. It is not professional advice of any kind and is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified professional. In particular, nothing in the Service is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other regulated advice, and you should not make important decisions based solely on it. Astrological interpretations are traditional and inherently subjective, and we do not warrant any particular outcome, prediction, or result. You are solely responsible for how you use the information the Service provides.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that calculations are free of errors. If you believe a calculation is wrong for the system you selected, please tell us.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shukraya Technologies LLC and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim or USD 100.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required for security or legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will survive.

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and Shukraya Technologies LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of New York for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
